WebbPEMBERTON, Phineas, colonist, born in Lancaster, England, 31 January, 1650; died in Bucks county, Pennsylvania, 1 March, 1702. He was of Quaker parentage, was apprenticed to a grocer, and afterward began business on his own account at Bolton, England, where he subsequently served as an overseer of the poor.
