L. 97-470, January 14, 1983, 96 Stat 2584, codified at 29 U.S.C. § 1801 et seq., became effective on April 14, 1983. It repealed and replaced the former Farm Labor Contractor Registration Act of 1963 as amended in 1974. See 7 U.S.C. § 2041 et seq. WebAct (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. 201, et seq., and the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), 29 U.S.C. 1801, et seq.3 Whether an employee has more than one employer is important in determining employees’ rights and employers’ obligations under the FLSA and MSPA.
